Mechelen, carrying the nickname 'Maneblussers' (Moon Extinguishers), is without a doubt a charming destination. View the entire city, with your head in the clouds, on top off the Sint-Rombouts tower. Or visit the large Beguinage, the Palace of Margaret of Austria, and the impressive Winter Garden Urselinen under a gigantic, colourful glass dome. If you like water, you can also sail the Dyle Path in the heart of the city. Delicacies are the 'Gouden Carolus' (brewed since 1433), and moon-shaped chocolates and cookies known as 'Maneblussertjes'.
